We were very fortunate to have purchased several beautiful vintage rosaries and religious items from a retired nun's estate and will be offering htem to you. This auction is for an old heavy gilded metal pinao jewelry box filled with exquisite antique items. No junk! I will explain the rosaries first, a beautiful vintage crystal rosary with oblong multi-faceted crystal beads for the maters and 6mm round multi-faceted crystal beads as the paters with acps on both ends. It emasures approx.
22 when laid otu flat. Center medal depicts our blessde virgin mary and cross is very nice with double layered cross and beautiful raised corpus. Vrey beautiful. Then there is a very old.
Late 1800's wood bead rosary with brass medals that measures 18 1/2 when laid out flat. Exceptional patina.
A black/brown bead glass bead (i think) rosary with oblong maters and intricately carved paetrs and a very special carved bone skull as a pater. Very unusual. Probably from the early 1900's and measures 16. A black rosary with oblong maetrs and carved paters. Ebony rcoss with beautiful raised corpus. Measures 19 1/2 then there is a tiny bible shaped box with pearl like outside. Front of the box the mop is coming loose.
Can be easily glued down. Inside this tiny box that measures 1 1/4 x 1 1/8 is a tiny pink glass bead rosary that measures approx. 11 when laid out and has a tiny medal attached. Very sweet.
All 59 beads are present on all rosaries. They are all exceptional antique rosaries. All original and with many years of patina. There is a apostleship of paryer scapular. A beautiful antique jade cross.
